Rehm Road in Cheektowaga was one of many area roadways that temporarily disappeared under several feet of water.


Ellicott Creek in Lancaster, New York spills over its banks in the wake of three inches of rain.
Flooding was exacerbated by the fact that during January there are no growing plants to help soak up excess moisture.
